Pixie’s Candy Parlour is happy to help sweeten community events, fundraisers or celebrations with a donation of candy, gift certificate, or gift basket. Please understand that we are a small family business that receives hundreds of requests each year for donations. We try to support as many local groups as possible, but if we chose not to support your event it does not mean we do not think that it is a worthy cause. As much as we would like to help everyone it is just not possible, thank you for your understanding.
Guidelines and Application Process
Requests must be submitted through our online form with a minimum 8 weeks notice prior to the event. In-person, telephone, or e-mail requests will not be accepted.
Priority will be given to registered charities, who are eligible to issue an official tax receipt for donations, or a non-profit community organization based nearby our retail location in Calgary.
We do not support individuals or their projects (including family reunions, birthday parties, weddings and other private social events), private foundations, political activities or advertising.
Due to the large number of donation requests we receive on an annual basis we cannot support every event. It also means we may not support the same organizations event from one year to the next.
In order to help out as many events as possible, organizations will only have one request approved per year.
We reserve the right to use the selected organizations’ name in future public communications regarding donations.
Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Timing and Review Process
We review each request by the 15th of every month for all donation requests received for the following month. This is why we require a MINIMUM 8 weeks prior to your event, this is to ensure your request isn’t missed in our monthly review.
Due to the high volume of requests received, we ask that telephone, email, or in-person inquiries regarding the status of your request not be made.
Approved Requests: A representative will contact your organization to make arrangements for pickup of the product.
Declined Requests: Unfortunately, due to the high number of requests, we are unable to respond to requests that have not been approved. If you don’t hear back within 6 weeks after submitting the request, that means that we are unable to honor your request.
Sports Team Sponsorship
At this time, we have already selected our sponsorship teams for 2019. We are currently accepting requests for 2020.
